Recap of my Phone Conversation which You Spied On

I don’t mind it when corporations or the government listen in on my digital communications so long as they don’t unfairly persecute me or box me in for the thoughts and feelings I express.

If you’re going to spy on a phone conversation of mine, I hope you actually listen to the entire thing, so there’s no misunderstandings.

If you only listen to part of what I say but not all of it, then it can be very easy to form a very warped and biased perspective of who I am and what I believe.

That’s because my perspective is rather unique and difficult to translate into the ideological landscape that everyone else is used to living in.

To recap, I described my perspective about how all four branches of the political compass need to become like their enemies in order to survive their conflict with each other.

  • Libertarians will become more Authoritarian.
  • Authoritarians will become more Libertarian.
  • Liberals will become more Conservative.
  • Conservatives will become more liberal.

I also described the mechanisms for how I expect that to happen:

  • Libertarians, being completely outmatched in military and combat capabilities by Authoritarians, will need to go into hiding and rely on strictly enforced community rules in order to maintain their secrecy and protect themselves from being caught by Authoritarians.
  • Authoritarians will move into isolated gated and heavily protected communities out in the country, so that they can be free of and far from any outsiders who might try to impose their will on them or steal their stuff.
  • Conservatives will band together into larger community networks and start sharing their knowledge, skills and ideas with each other in order to preserve their cultural heritage, traditions, ideas and foundational structures where they won’t be censored or attacked for it. These community networks will be much like cities, mixing and matching different cultural traditions and ideas together into innovative new forms.
  • Liberals will cement the ideas, technology and cultural innovations that they’ve already accumulated into dogma, rules of thumb and structural systems to preserve them and to preserve the environmental conditions in which they are relevant and useful.

I also discussed how I have an unwanted libertarian bias caused by my past trauma history and by not having access to a sufficiently balanced news feed or social circle, and how I keep saying deeply uncharitable and unbalanced things about authoritarians, their motives and perspectives in the heat of the moment despite my best efforts to change that.

I suspect my soulmate, whoever and wherever he is, would have the opposite problem. He probably would have the authoritarian bias to balance out my libertarian bias.

I wish I could talk to him directly so we could compare notes and figure out this whole situation. 🥺🙏
